Welcome to the website of Abifumo, the Brazilian Tobacco Industry Association. Our association was established in 1979 to help communicate the views of our members on matters of interest to them to various constituencies. Our membership is comprised of companies involved in the tobacco sector in Brazil. Member companies are engaged in different aspects of the tobacco industry and include leaf dealers and processors, as well as the manufacturers of finished tobacco products for consumers including cigarettes, cheroots and cigars.
Abifumo provides a forum for its members to exchange their views on issues related to the tobacco sector and, as appropriate, to provide the viewpoint of the association to interested parties. Its members follow the association’s ethical code, a set of basic norms of conduct. Abifumo maintains an office in Brasília.
This website is intended as a reference resource for visitors. Links to members’ websites as well as to other government and private sites with information related to the tobacco sector are provided on this site. Abifumo takes no responsibility for the content of those sites.
